The "Bio-Siegel Information Service" was assigned by the label’s owner, the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), to fulfill various tasks within the general label administration, among others:

• User guidance and support
• Answer stakeholder questions about the German Eco Label use and
• Compilation of logo usage pursuant to Eco-label regulation (disclosure requirement of companies)
